According to French economic publication Les Echos, the maximum figure will reach 3.5 per person per day.

More specifically, 3-star hotels will charge 2 euros instead of the usual 1, 4-star hotels - 2.5 euros instead of 1.50, the fifth - 3 euros. The biggest tourist tax will reach the mark in hotels of category "palace" and will be 3.50 euros per person per day.

As the newspaper writes, unchanged size of the tax will be only for hotels that are in the status of one and two stars, 75 and 90 cents, respectively.

The Government notes that this increase will not cause nasty blow to the foreign clientele, given the fact that most of the hotel guests with 3 or more stars of the French are coming on business trips.
