The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a draft agreement with Georgia providing for the possibility of visiting this country on the basis of internal passports in the form of ID-cards containing a contactless electronic medium. The corresponding document was published by RBC-Ukraine. The deadline for the entry into force of the new rules is not indicated - the agreement only notes that the changes come into effect after the completion of all necessary domestic procedures. It is expected that the implementation of the agreement will help increase the number of travelers.

The travel companies say that this step is primarily an image for the direction, because the problem with delays in issuing passports has been overcome not so long ago. Currently, every fourth Ukrainian has a biometric passport - this was announced today by the President of Ukraine Peter Poroshenko. And the popularity of Georgia in Ukraine has not previously been doubted - due to the lack of a language barrier and legendary local hospitality. "Demand for Georgia is growing, we noticed this during this year", - said the director of "ALP TO" Olga Alekseenko. Another sign of the growth in demand for Georgia is the arrival of new airlines - in the summer, for example, flights from Kharkov to Batumi were delivered by MyWay Airlines, and a very intensive air transportation from Kiev and Odessa is also carried out.
