Free Wi Fi appeared on Air France aircraft
Air France has introduced new fares for Internet access in flight using an onboard wireless Wi-Fi network, one of which provides for free use of the service.
At the “Message” tariff, the passenger will be able to use mobile applications to send and receive Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp, iMessage and WeChat messages, as well as view the airline's website and use its mobile application at no additional charge.
The tariff plan "Surf" is provided for a fee and will allow you to browse sites and send e-mails. Access during the entire flight will be 3 Euros on short flights and 5 Euros on medium-haul flights. On long-haul routes, Internet access will have to be paid at 8 euros per hour or 18 euros for the entire flight.
The “Stream” package with a maximum access speed that allows you to watch videos or conduct video broadcasts will be available only on long-haul flights at a price of 30 euros for the entire flight.
Passengers will be able to pay for the service using Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal payment system or miles from the Flying Blue loyalty program.
By the end of 2018, 22 long-haul aircraft and eight short- and medium-range aircraft will be equipped with equipment that will allow access to the Internet in flight. The entire fleet of Air France will have the necessary equipment until the end of 2020.
