Specialists of the state institution "Odessa Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine", who analyzed sea-water samples along the coast of Odessa, made public the conclusions: the water around eight of the nine city beaches complies with regulatory requirements.

“In the zones of recreation of marine water use, from 21 to 27 June this year, 48 urban sea water samples were examined on sanitary and microbiological indicators in Odessa, two of which were sampled on the Luzanovka beach. Sanitary and chemical indicators 24 sea water samples from urban beaches were investigated, all samples met the standards, "the report says.
As of July 3, the water temperature off the coast of Odessa is 24 ° C.
It is worth noting that seawater is sampled for testing at control points near the beaches of Luzanovka, Langeron, Otrada, Dolphin, Arcadia, Chaika, Kurortny, and Gold Coast.
As part of the monitoring of drinking water in Odessa, 15 samples were taken for sanitary and microbiological indicators and 15 samples for sanitary and chemical indicators. All samples meet the standards.
As reported, in June, the phenomenon of "blooming" of seawater near the beaches of Odessa with excessive accumulation of algae was observed. Experts have established elevated levels of suspended solids. Other chemical indicators of pollutants were below the level of maximum permissible concentrations for sea water.
